Accessibility Unit

The Accessibility Unit is committed to addressing the specific needs of students with disabilities, mental illness, and/or chronic illness in their daily university lives. If you encounter barriers in your daily study routine, have questions regarding study law, need support in implementing a project idea, or want to advance networking at your university, feel free to email us at barrierefrei@oeh.ac.at and make an appointment with us if needed.

Accessibility: The Accessibility Unit is located on the 4th floor. With a wheelchair, access is possible via the elevator at a side entrance. You will find it on the right side in the courtyard of the Post AG.

Key areas of responsibility:

We offer free counseling on various topics related to accessibility in studies (e.g. different examination methods, financial support options, project funding opportunities). We are committed to awareness raising, sensitization and public relations. Furthermore, we take action in the event of incidents of discrimination.

Counseling options - free counseling on site, via Skype or something completely different?

We try to make our Counseling as uncomplicated as possible and tailor it to you and your individual needs. Let us know via email at barrierefrei@oeh.ac.at in which setting you would like to be consulted. If you are unable to take advantage of Counseling without special support (e.g. ÖGS interpreting), please let us know. In this case, too, we will gladly try to find an individual solution!
