Billions in cuts to universities? We say: Not on our watch!
The government is making cuts to university funding. A severe cut to the budget means a severe disruption to everyday university life. Fewer places on courses and in lectures, more crowded lecture theatres, less student support. We won’t stand for this.
Last week, 40,000 people took to the streets across Austria to voice their strong opposition to the impending cuts to our universities. The overwhelming turnout sent a clear message to politicians: we won’t let our future be cut away!
But the budget negotiations aren’t over yet. We can’t let things slide now. To keep the pressure on the government, we’ve launched a petition.
