Congress against anti-Muslim racism
On March 11, in cooperation with the MEH, the Congress against Anti-Muslim Racism will take place from 15:30 to 21:00. In the auditorium of the University of Vienna there will be lectures and talks by and with Dunia Khalil, Nedžad Moćević, Ozan Zakaria Keskinkılıç and Asma Aiad. In addition, there will be information booths, among others, from the Dokustelle and ZARA.
The congress is intended to highlight the importance of the topic for our society, to create a greater awareness of the explosive nature of the issue and also to encourage all participants to deal with anti-Muslim racism both individually and collectively.
This involves both raising the awareness of the majority society and empowering Muslim communities.
Together with experts from academia, law and the media, we will address discrimination and anti-Muslim racism in Austria and discuss various approaches to the psychological and legal consequences for those affected and to Muslim existence in Europe.
All students from all over Austria are cordially invited to attend the congress free of charge.
