Due to high demand, vaccinations are no longer available at the campaign at the University of Vienna today. The free HPV vaccination can also be administered free of charge by your general doctor.
If you are under 30, you only have until the end of the year to get vaccinated against HPV for free!
HPV (human papillomavirus) is transmitted through close skin and mucous membrane contact. Certain types increase the risk of cancers such as cervical, anal, or oropharyngeal cancer. Early vaccination offers very effective protection. The vaccine is administered in two doses, six months apart. The federal government’s free vaccination program for under-30-year-olds will only run until the end of June 2026, which means that the first vaccination must be administered in 2025 in order to achieve full immunization!
You can get your first or second dose during the HPV vaccination day at the University of Vienna on Friday. Everything you need to know:

The vaccination is free for everyone under the age of 30 and for people who received their first HPV vaccination before their 30th birthday!

Participation is possible without prior registration. If a specific time is required, registration via the online form is recommended.
Note: The only requirement for vaccination is residence in Austria. Bring your photo ID and (optionally) your vaccination card and e-card! If you are over 30, you will also need proof of a HPV vaccination received before your 30th birthday (if this is not your first vaccination).
