Call for Applications: Gemeinsame Bildungsreise nach Kärnten/Koroška mit Klub slowenischer Student_innen in Wien (KSŠŠD)

Wir, die Österreichische Hochschüler_innenschaft (ÖH) veranstalten gemeinsam mit dem Klub slowenischer Student_innen in Wien (KSŠŠD) eine Bildungsreise nach Kärnten/Koroška.
Das Ziel der Reise ist, die slowenische Geschichte und die Kämpfe der Partisan_innen kennenzulernen. Wir werden uns unter anderem auf Erinnerungskultur sowie Konfliktlinien rund um Identität, Sprache und Minderheitenrechte fokussieren. Ziel ist es, ein besseres Verständnis für die historischen Hintergründe und aktuellen gesellschaftspolitischen Herausforderungen der Region zu vermitteln. Anschließend soll das Gelernte in eigenen Projekten aufbereitet werden. Ebenso befasst sich die Reise mit der nahen Vergangenheit und der aktuellen Politik Vorort in Kärnten/Koroška.
Wen suchen wir?
Wir suchen Studierende mit Interesse an Themen im Zusammenhang mit der Kärntner slowenischen Minderheit, Sprache, Minderheitenrechte, die Geschichte und Kämpfe der Partisan_innen. Wir haben begrenzt Platz für Studierende, die kostenfrei mitfahren können. Wir erwarten uns nach der Bildungsreise von allen teilnehmenden Personen eine Einreichung und Veröffentlichung eines Projekts bzw. einer Aufarbeitung der Inhalte und Eindrücke der Reise auf journalistische, künstlerische und/oder politische Art und Weise (vielfältig: Fotografie, Radiobeitrag, Kunstinstallation, Zeitungsartikel, Vortrag, politische Aktion etc). Text- und Fotobeiträge sind besonders erwünscht und können im Anschluss in einer thematisch passenden Ausgabe des progress Magazins der ÖH Platz finden.
Nach erfolgreicher Bewerbung und einem Platzangebot für die Studienreise unsererseits erwarten wir uns eine verbindliche Zusage, die Studierende zur Einhaltung des Reisetermins und einen seriösen Umgang mit der Ernsthaftigkeit des Themas (vor Ort) verpflichtet.

Call for Applications: Joint Educational Trip to Carinthia/Koroška with Klub slowenischer Student_innen in Wien (KSŠŠD)
We, the Austrian Students Union (ÖH), together with the Klub slowenischer Student_innen in Wien (KSŠŠD), are organizing an educational trip to Carinthia/Koroška.
The aim of the trip is to learn about Slovenian history and the struggles of the Partisans. We will focus, among other things, on the culture of remembrance as well as lines of conflict surrounding identity, language, and minority rights. The goal is to foster a better understanding of the region’s historical background and current socio-political challenges. Subsequently, participants are expected to process what they have learned through their own projects. The trip will also address the recent past and current politics on the ground in Carinthia/Koroška.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for students interested in topics related to the Carinthian-Slovenian-minority, language, minority-rights, and the history and struggles of the Partisans. It is free of charge and there is a limited number of spots available for students to participate. Following the trip, we expect all participants to submit and publish a project, or otherwise process the content and impressions of the journey, in a journalistic, artistic, and or political manner (photography, radio segment, art installation, newspaper article, presentation, political action, etc.). Text and photo contributions are particularly welcome and may be featured in a relevant issue of our „progress“ magazine.
Upon successful application and the offer of a place on the study trip, we require a firm commitment from students to attend on the scheduled dates and to engage seriously with the subject matter (while on site).
