In the elections to the Austrian National Union of Students, all students of Austrian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmbwf.gv.at\/Themen\/HS-Uni\/Hochschulsystem\/Universit%C3%A4ten.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">public universities<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmbwf.gv.at\/Themen\/HS-Uni\/Hochschulsystem\/Fachhochschulen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">universities of applied sciences<\/a>, universities of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmbwf.gv.at\/bmbwfgvat\/Themen\/Hochschule-und-Universit%C3%A4t\/Hochschulsystem\/P%C3%A4dagogische-Hochschulen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">teacher education<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmbwf.gv.at\/Themen\/HS-Uni\/Hochschulsystem\/Privatuniversit%C3%A4ten.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">private<\/a> universities can directly decide on their representation of interests every two years.<\/p>\n\n<p>Through the \u00d6H fee, you are also <strong>entitled to vote on three levels<\/strong> to elect representatives! To be eligible to vote in the election, the<strong> \u00d6H fee for the summer semester<\/strong> must have been paid by<strong> March 21, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>You will be given<strong> three ballots for the three levels of representation<\/strong> &#8211; i.e. student representation, university representation, and federal representation. You can cast your vote on any of the three election days at your college.<\/p>\n\n<p>If you are not at your university at the time of the election, there is also the <strong>possibility of voting via absentee ballot<\/strong>.
