Thus, for example, students under 24 who still live at home receive \u20ac 362. If you have already moved out, in many cases you will receive \u20ac 632. From the 24th birthday you will receive \u20ac 891 and from the 27th birthday \u20ac 923. Supplements are available for students with children or for students who have a significant disability.<\/p><h6 id=\"berechnung\"><strong>New calculation of study grants (\u00a7\u00a7 26-28 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>Tuition assistance is calculated based on basic and incremental contributions (e.g., for age, parenthood, out-of-state, self-support, disability, etc.). The family allowance is no longer deducted from the student allowance. <strong>Attention! The federal government is currently planning to increase student grants on a regular basis in the future.<\/strong><\/p><h6 id=\"einkommensgrenzen\"><strong>Increase of income limits for parental income (\u00a7 28 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>Tuition assistance is calculated based on basic and incremental contributions (e.g., for age, parenthood, out-of-state, self-support, disability, etc.). The family allowance is no longer deducted from the student allowance. Attention! The federal government is currently planning to increase student grants on a regular basis in the future.<\/p><h6 id=\"altersgrenzen\"><strong>Raising the age limits (\u00a7 6 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>The age limits were raised by 3 years. The bachelor&#8217;s program must be started before the 33rd birthday and the master&#8217;s program before the 38th birthday.<\/p><h6 id=\"kinderbetreuungszuschuss\"><strong>Childcare allowance already earlier (\u00a7 52d StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>Childcare subsidy can now be applied for and received as early as the 3rd semester of study.<\/p><h6 id=\"erleichterungselbsterhalt\"><strong>Facilitation of study grants after self-support (\u00a7 31 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>The &#8220;Selbsterhalter_innenstipendium&#8221; is renamed &#8220;Studienbeihilfe nach Selbsterhalt&#8221;. What is new is that you can also receive this if you have previously received student aid for another course of study.<\/p><h6 id=\"fristdoktorat\"><strong>Longer deadline for admission to doctoral studies (\u00a7 15 Abs 3 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>You can start your doctoral studies within 24 months after graduating from a master&#8217;s or diploma program instead of within 12 months. There may be 24 months between completion of the pre-doctoral program and the doctoral program.<\/p><h6 id=\"antragsfrist\"><strong>Improvement in the application deadline (\u00a7 39 para 2 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>Applications for student aid submitted after the application deadline are valid as of the month of application. Previously, the study grant could be paid out from the following month at the earliest.<\/p><h6 id=\"mobilitaetsstipendium\"><strong>Improvement in the mobility grant (\u00a7 56d StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>A residence of at least 5 years in Austria is no longer required.<\/p><h6 id=\"absetzbetragbehinderung\"><strong>Increase of the deduction for siblings with disabilities (\u00a7 30 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>The deduction for siblings with at least a 50% disability is increased from \u20ac 2,200 to \u20ac 3,000.<\/p><h6 id=\"beihilfeauslandsstudium\"><strong>Increase of aid for studying abroad (\u00a7 56 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>The allowance for study abroad is increased from \u20ac 582 to \u20ac 630.<\/p><h4 id=\"negativ-list\">Negative<\/h4><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeh.ac.at\/en\/tuition-assistance\/\">Disadvantage for diploma students<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeh.ac.at\/studienbeihilfe\/novelle-2022#verschaerfungstudienzuschuss\">Tightening up on the study grant<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeh.ac.at\/en\/tuition-assistance\/\">Shorter application deadline for study abroad aid<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeh.ac.at\/en\/tuition-assistance\/\">Reduction of the minimum payout for study support.<\/a><\/li><\/ul><div id=\"negativ\">Adverse changes resulting from the amendment<\/div><h6 id=\"nachteildiplomstudierende\"><strong>Disadvantage for diploma students (\u00a7 15 Abs 3 StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>Diploma students who receive study grants in the 2nd stage of their studies and then change their studies are excluded from continuing to receive study grants.<\/p><h6 id=\"verschaerfungstudienzuschuss\"><strong>Tightening of the study grant (\u00a7 52c StudFG)<\/strong><\/h6><p>The minimum payment amount per year is increased from \u20ac 60 to \u20ac 120.
