FEM-QUEER FUNDING POOL

A major objective of the ÖH is to advocate equality, especially in academics. To guarantee the ongoing and continuous research in gender studies, the Austrian students union promotes research in this field.
Students of all Austrian higher academic institutions are eligible to receive financial support, if they are working on a scientific paper or project with a clear focus on or in direct reference to gender studies.

You can find further information in our guidelines. Please make sure to read through them carefully before sending in an application as incomplete forms can not be approved.
The decision to grant funding is made by a special committee that usually meets up twice per semester.

For legal reasons, we have a database where we publish the approved grants to provide transparency to the committees decisions (transparency database). The law is however only available in German: Transparenzdatenbankgesetz 2012.

Dates/Deadlines

The next time limit for applications will end on January 15th, 2022 (winter semester 2022/23).
The next committee will take place in tba Early February 2023.

Für Forschungsteams mit drei oder mehr Personen muss mindestens eine FLIT * -Rate von 2/3 eingehalten werden, für Gruppen, die aus zwei Personen bestehen, muss eine FLIT * -Rate von 50% eingehalten werden. Wenn ein Projektteam aus mehr als 5 Personen besteht, müssen die Daten der 6. Person per PDF per E-Mail an fem-queer-foerdertopf@oeh.ac.at gesendet werden. For research teams of three or more people, at least a 2/3 FLIT * rate must be adhered to, for groups consisting of two people a 50% FLIT * rate must be observed. If a project team consists of more than 5 people, the data from the 6th person must be sent in a PDF by email to fem-queer-foerdertopf@oeh.ac.at.

Wissenschaftliche Arbeit oder Projekt/ Scientific Work or Project
Begründung, warum um eine Förderung von der Österreichischen Hochschüler_innenschaft angesucht wird

Das Exposé soll max. 3 Seiten umfassen und zumindest folgende Punkte enthalten:
  • Titel der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit/des wissenschaftlichen Projekts
  • Ausgangssituation (Forschungsstand)
  • Vorgangsweise (inkl. Methoden), These der Arbeit bzw. des Projekts
  • Resümee (soweit bereits vorhanden)
  • Literatur
  • Angabe der voraussichtlichen Dauer der Arbeit/des Projekts
  • Art der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit (z.B. Diplomarbeit; innerhalb/außerhalb der Hochschule) bzw. Art des wissenschaftlichen Projekts

Die Kostenaufstellung soll folgende Punkte enthalten, sofern zutreffend:
  • Ausgaben: Aufstellung der voraussichtlich anfallenden Kosten
  • Einnahmen: Angabe weiterer beantragter/bewilligter Förderungen, Werbekooperationen, Drittmittelförderungen, etwaige Erlöse (z.B. Verkauf von Publikationen, Eintritte, usw.)
  • Höhe und Verwendungszweck der bei der ÖH-Bundesvertretung angesuchten Geldmittel
  • Honorare sind mit einer Begründung zu versehen falls sie im Rahmen der Förderung durch diesen Topf bezahlt werden sollen
