You've knocked over an expensive device in the university lab? Crashed intp a glass door at your PH (university of education)? Accidentally destroyed a computer at your FH (university of applied sciences)? Broken a leg on a USI (University Sports Institute) skiing trip? It's not as bad as it looks, at least from a financial point of view. 50 cents out of your ÖH membership fee go towards a comprehensive liability and accident insurance with the Allianz Elementar Insurance Company covering (almost) all possible scenarios (see FAQs - currently in German only). The ÖH has been offering this special service for all members for many years, always endeavouring to make the insurance coverage as comprehensive as possible.

Insurance coverage for students at universities of applied sciences (FHs)

Since the summer term of 2008 students at FHs are members of the ÖH and therefore covered by the ÖH insurance policy for liability and accident insurance. Isurance cases by FH-Students which occurred after 1st February 2008 are covered by the ÖH policy.
