Office for Feminist Politics

Despite measures for the advancement of women and scatter improvements, universities, FHs and PHs are still areas where women are faced with man obstacles on a daily basis. The widespread reluctance to deal with socially anchored gender inequality on a scientific and political level seems to stem from continued patriarchal reasoning and male-dominated structures, which it is necessary to criticize. The Office for Feminist Politics sees its purpose in dealing with current unacceptable developments in gender relations at all institutions of higher education as well as Austrian politics and formulating a critique of prevailing conditions.

Our fields of action include:

The "Frauenkompass" and other brochures (German): Information and more for female students about feminism at your university as well as advice centers and recreational activities for women
Office hours and counselling - we are open to enquiries, wishes, complaints, questions, suggestions, plans, conversations...
Women's brunch (announcements in German)
Organising etworking meetings of departments of women's and gender equality
